Final Blog Post

Hello Again,

Since this the final blog post of the year, I just wanted to take a step back and reflect on my project that I have worked on throughout the year. Through all the ups and downs, I feel that whatever goal I put out there is more reachable with hard work and determination. What I believe went well in my project was the fact that I consistently made strides. Even though there were times I stalled, over the whole year, I truly accomplished a lot. Being able to improve my project was very important, along with the many different ideas that were accomplished.

On the other hand, knowing that we don't have to completely finish our project by the end of the year, I at times struggled to motivate myself as the end of the school year is approaching. After the 20Time Talk is complete, I plan to continue working on my project. I know that it is an ongoing process and I will continue to try to make strides once the year is over. Self motivation is a very important part of a year long project. I would change how I motivated myself. If I had to do it over from the start, I would write down what I would want to accomplish for each week. With my busy schedule, I could have broken it down better, instead of doing my project in big chunks. Since I plan on working on my project over the summer, this year taught me how to improve on my strategies for my project. Making mistakes is all part of the process, which is important because I can build on those mistakes for the future.

What I learned through doing this project is that when you attempt a long term goal, the most important element is mental preparation. Being mentally prepared can keep you motivated for the long term and even encourage you. This 20Time project has encouraged me to believe that if I work hard and put my best effort towards it, any goal can be accomplished. If you really want to achieve something great, it will never  come easy. Although, if you are truly passionate about something and willing to work hard, great things/ goals can be achieved.

Blog Post 11

Hello Again,

As the 20 Time Talk is less than two months away, I have started to reflect on my project as a whole. Throughout this long process I have had learning experiences that, most likely, will assist me in accomplishing my goals on this project in the near future.  For the next couple of weeks, I will be starting to outline my talk, and list the valuable points and experiences that I have learned.  During the course of this year, this project has mentally prepared me and encouraged me to believe that  if I work hard and continue to work hard on my ideas, they will develop into something awesome that I can be proud of. I feel that my 20 Time Talk Project  will be easy to present to the class because of all the interesting components and  description of my personal roller coaster ride this year.

Blog Post #10

Hello Again,

This weekend I was supposed to meet with my dad's friend who was going to take a look at my website, and make some small adjustments. Unfortunately, it didn't work out ,which was a little disappointing. As this process continues, I am at a halt momentarily, as I continue to try to get followers. It will be crucial to make small adjustments with the help of my dad's friend. Almost into April, my goal is to officially make my website/chatroom available after Spring Break.

March 9 Blog Post #9

Hello Again,

I have made an adjustment to my project. I have decided to start making debate questions circled around the most recent current events worldwide.  By doing this, I believe that it would eventually get me off on the right foot because followers will be more informed on those topics. If it is going well, then I can create debate topics for individual countries. (Ex: Greece, China exc.) Furthermore, my dad's friend who is a computer technician is coming over to help me with my website, which will help me add the "finishing" touches so to speak. I believe he can give me solid guidance to keep my website stable for a long period of time.

8th Blog Post

Hello Again,

Almost into March, the number of people for my website has stalled at around 10. Although I am happy to have 10 followers so far, I want to continue my progression. I hope I can get back on track, even though I know this is going to be part of the long process. As I continue to think about topics, the world keeps giving me topics every week. At this time, the world is a wild place, and there is always something interesting to debate about. I will not release my website until I "jumpstart" it and complete the finishing touches. March will be a crucial month for me.

7th Blog Post

Hello Again,

This past week, I contacted my older cousin and asked him if he had any suggestions for my website. My cousin, who will most likely be my first commenter, knows a lot about current affairs/events which could be very helpful  in selecting my question of the week for different countries. I believe that starting off with Greece as my first country to comment on will jump-start my project because I know many Greeks who will want to comment on my website. My goal is to have over 40 commenters by the beginning of March. As I continue to spread the word about my website, I will start to think of the questions for the commenters to debate on....which will hopefully keep their interest weekly.

6th Blog Post

Hello Again,

After my project stalled for close to two weeks, I have gotten back on track and am moving forward with my project. It has been an adjustment since I made some significant changes to the idea of the website/project. Since these changes are for the better, I believe that my followers/commenters will enjoy using the chat room because  a reward is given to the best comments weekly. The change has made me realize that I could take my project to another level, despite a great amount of work and promoting required. As I continue to get more and more commenters, I will have to start thinking of topics for debate. These next few weeks will be very interesting.
